Thank you for joining us again this week for worship. We pray that, even when it may be hard to find, you can see hope in this world.
The Peace of Mind That Christ Can Bring
- The peace of mind that Christ can bring Is peace in knowing how to sing
In spite of doubts of why or how, In spite of fears of here and now. - The peace that strengthens faithful souls Cannot be built on self-made goals,
But rather comes to those wo heed A call for help in time of need. - So one finds peace within the heart when each with others bears a part.
When peace for me is peace for you, Then Christ is present, peace is true. - So Christ, invade our life and will Until we see your justice still
Defining best all human worth, Reshaping dreams of peace on earth.
You Are My All In All
- You are my strength when I am weak, You are the treasure that I seek.
You are my all in all.
Seeking you as a precious jewel; Lord, to give up, I’d be a fool,
Your are my all in all.

Jesus, Lamb of God, Worthy is Your name.
Jesus, Lamb of God, Worthy is Your name.
- Taking my sin, my cross, my shame; Rising again, I bless Your name,
You are my all in all.
When I fall down You pick me up; When I am dry you fill my cup,
You are my all in all.

We are glad you could join us again for this week’s virtual worship, the fourth Sunday of Easter.
More Love to Thee
- More love to Thee, O Christ, More love to thee!
Hear Thou the prayer I make on bended knee;
This is my earnest plea: More love, O Christ, to Thee,
More love to Thee, More love to Thee! - Once earthly joy I craved, Sought peace and rest;
Now Thee alone I seek, Give what is best;
This all my prayer shall be: More love, O Christ, to Thee,
More love to Thee, More love to Thee! - Let sorrow do its work, Send grief and pain;
Sweet are Thy messengers, Sweet their refrain;
When they can sing with me: More love, O Christ, to Thee,
More love to Thee, More love to Thee! - Then shall my latest breath Whisper Thy praise;
This be the parting cry My heart shall raise;
This still its prayer shall be: More love, O Christ, to Thee,
More love to Thee, More love to Thee!
Spirit Song
- O let the Son of God enfold you with his Spirit and his love,
let Him fill your life and satisfy your soul.
O let him have the things that hold you and his Spirit, like a dove,
will descend upon your life and make you whole.
Refrain
Jesus, come and fill your lambs.
Jesus, O Jesus, come and fill your lambs.
- O come and sing t his song with gladness as you r hearts are filled with joy,
lift your hands in sweet surrender to his name.
O give him all your tears and sadness, give him all your years of pain
and you’ll enter into life in Jesus’ name.

Of course we wish we could worship in person. However, we are blessed to be able to share this virtual experience with you.
Today’s scripture reading is Luke 24:13-35
Here, O My Lord, I See Thee
- Here, O my Lord, I see Thee face to face;
Here would I touch and handle things unseen,
Here grasp with firmer hand h’eternal grace,
And all my weariness upon Thee Lean.
3. I have no help but Thine; nor do I need
Another arm save Thine to lean upon;
It is enough, my Lord, enough indeed;
My strength is in Thy might, Thy might alone.
4. Mine is the sin, but Thine the righteousness;
Mine is the guilt, but Thine the cleansing blood.
Here is my robe, my refuge, and my peace;
Thy blood, Thy righteousness, O Lord, my God.
Shine, Jesus, Shine
Lord, the light of your love is shining
In the midst of the darkness, shining
Jesus, Light of the world, shine upon us
Set us free by the truth you now bring us
Shine on me, shine on me
Shine, Jesus, shine
Fill this land with the Father’s glory
Blaze, Spirit, blaze
Set our hearts on fire
Flow, river, flow
Flood the nations with grace and mercy
Send forth your word
Lord, and let there be light
Lord, I come to your awesome presence
From the shadows into your radiance
By the blood I may enter your brightness
Search me, try me, consume all my darkness
Shine on me, shine on me
As we gaze on your kingly brightness
So our faces display your likeness
Ever changing from glory to glory
Mirrored here may our lives tell your story
Shine on me, shine on me
Holy Week 2020: Palm Sunday

As we continue to observe stay-at-home orders, let us take comfort in the familiar journey toward Easter and Christ’s resurrection.
Today is Palm Sunday.
The Christian high holy day of Palm Sunday is the joyous occasion when God’s Church celebrates the arrival of Jesus of Nazareth in Jerusalem. The Revised Common Lectionary Gospel Reading for this Sunday is Matthew 21:1-11. This narrative describes Jesus sending two of his disciples to pick up a donkey and the foal of a donkey for Jesus to ride on his journey. The disciples successfully acquire the donkeys, and they bring the creatures to Jesus. Next, the disciples place cloaks on the donkeys, and Jesus rides the donkeys up the road to the Holy City.
This event is considered the fulfillment of a prophecy. The quotation in Matthew 21:5 is a reference to Zechariah 9:9-10. It was customary in ancient Near Eastern royal processions for the king to ride on a donkey. By doing so, Jesus himself was behaving like a king. The populous responded
In the Christian Church, it is a custom on Palm Sunday for a congregation to participate in a processional which serves as a reenactment of Jesus’ triumphal entry into the Holy City of Jerusalem. Worshipers process throughout the sanctuary, wave palm branches, and shout, “Hosanna!†(This word “Hosanna†literally means “save us, we pray.â€)
On the original occasion when Jesus rode to Jerusalem, crowds lined the roadside and cheered, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is the One who comes in God’s name! Hosanna in the highest!â€
Palm Sunday Hymns
Hosanna, Loud Hosanna
1. Hosanna, loud hosanna, The little children sang
Through pillared court and temple The Lovely anthem rang
To Jesus, who had blessed them Close folded to His breast,
Then children sang their praises, The simplest and the best,
2. From Olivet they followed ‘Mid an exultant crowd,
The victor palm branch waving, And chanting clear and loud:
The Lord of men and angels Rode on in lowly state,
Nor scorned that little children Should on His bidding wait.
3. “Hosanna in the highest!†That ancient song we sing,
For Christ is our Redeemer, The Lord of heaven, our King;
O may we ever praise Him With heart and life and voice,
and in His blissful presence Eternally rejoice!
The Old Rugged Cross
1. On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,
The emblem of suffering and shame;
And I love that old cross where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain.
REFRAIN
So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling tot he old rugged cross,
And exchange it some day for a crown.
2. O that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,
Has a wondrous attraction for me:
For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above
To bear it to dark Calvary.
REFRAIN
3. In the old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,
A wondrous beauty I see;
For ’twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died
To pardon and sanctify me.
REFRAIN
4. To the old rugged cross I will ever be true,
Its shame and reproach gladly bear;
Then He’ll call me some day to my home far away,
Where His glory forever I’ll share.
