We praise Thee, O God! for the Son of Thy love,
For Jesus Who died, and is now gone above.

Hallelujah! Thine the glory.
Hallelujah! Amen.
Hallelujah! Thine the glory.

Revive us again.
We praise Thee, O God! for Thy Spirit of light,
Who hath shown us our Savior, and scattered our night.

Refrain

All glory and praise To the Lamb that was slain,
Who hath borne all our sins, and hath cleansed every stain.

Refrain

Revive us again; fill each heart with Thy love;
May each soul be rekindled with fire from above.

Refrain

*PRAYER OF INVOCATION — Diann Sheahan
O Faithful God, you yearn to be close to us
so that we can know you
in every breath, in every hope, in every relationship.
O Faithful God, you long for us to trust in your power
to bring to life new possibilities
where there has been no hope.
Meet us here today, Christ Jesus,
and teach us to recognize the ways of life and hope
in which you are leading us.

May our desires become your desires;
may our work become your work;
may this community become your faith community
where you above all are loved and served. Amen.

*RESPONSE — Shout to the Lord — worship booklet, pp. 80-81

My Jesus, my Saviour
Lord there is none like You
All of my days I want to praise
The wonders of Your mighty love

My comfort, my shelter
Tower of refuge and strength
Let every breath, all that I am
Never cease to worship You

Shout to the Lord all the Earth, let us sing
Power and majesty, praise to the King
Mountains bow down and the seas will roar
At the sound of Your name

I sing for joy at the work of Your hands
Forever I’ll love You, forever I’ll stand
Nothing compares to the promise I have in You

Shout to the Lord
My Jesus, my Saviour, Lord, there is none like You;
All of my days I want to praise the wonder of Your mighty love.

My comfort, my Shelter, Tower of refuge and strength;
Let ev’ry breath, all that I am, never cease to worship You.

Shout to the Lord, all the earth, let us sing
Power and majesty, praise to the King:
Mountains bow down and the seas will roar at the sound of Your name.

I sing for joy at the work of Your hands,
Forever I’ll love You, forever I’ll stand;
Nothing compares to the promise I have in You.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE — Pastor Dan

*HYMN — ‘Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus — #358

Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to take Him at His word;
Just to rest upon His promise,
Just to know, “Thus saith the Lord.”

Refrain:
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er!
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust Him more!

O how sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to trust His cleansing blood;
Just in simple faith to plunge me
‘Neath the healing, cleansing flood! [Refrain]

Yes, ’tis sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just from sin and self to cease;
Just from Jesus simply taking
Life and rest, and joy and peace. [Refrain]

I’m so glad I learned to trust Thee,
Precious Jesus, Saviour, Friend;
And I know that Thou art with me,
Wilt be with me to the end. [Refrain]
