October 20 — Consecration Sunday — Imagine Together!

God’s gift of new life in Christ moves us to live joyously offering grace and love to all. Following worship on this Consecration Sunday, we will celebrate all of the gifts offered to God this day by enjoying lunch together in Fellowship Hall.

Lively God, you invite us to put aside this world’s unhealthy distractions and to draw near to you. Here on holy ground, we perceive clearly that nothing is of more value than a relationship with you. We are merely beginning to learn who you are, God. We look forward to discovering more!
Inexhaustible God, you do not tire out. You never let us down. You teach by example. From you, we learn to love extravagantly and to live generously.
We imagine becoming faithful servants of your life-giving grace, Christ Jesus. We are grateful to you for being with us now. Guide us as we continue seeking to grow as your disciples. Now and always, may we follow your lead, Jesus. Encourage us as we Imagine Together! Amen.

God, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.
